Jomtien beach is located about two kilometers south of Pattaya and about 120 kilometers from the Bangkok airport. The beach is more relaxed and less chaotic than the more famous Pattaya beach and is ideal for those who wish to be away and at the same time near the crowds.
Jomtien attracts both natives and tourists, who come here to bask in the sun, enjoy the cool sea breezes, tingle their taste buds, and overall rejuvenate in its peaceful and laid back charm. The rise in tourist interest has seen an upsurge in construction activity and today the beach area boasts of some of the classiest resorts in Pattaya. Jomtien also has its share of mid-range and low-end accommodations to cater to those on a budget.

Apart from the ever popular Thai cuisine you will find a number of expatriate run restaurants and bars serving European Swiss, British, German, Dutch, Indian, Chinese and Russian delicacies.

It’s big, not crowdy and realy beautiful. Ask for the “army beach” it’s about 14km from Jomtien.
You can rent a chair or bring your own. You even can bring your own drinks or food and I never saw one vendor at this place.
Also there is a big restaurant where you can enjoy a good meal at normal prices.
