“Super double condo, excellent value. I am now a regular customer”

double apartment on topfloor (1040) in Jomtien
Paul owns several apartments in the Thip Condotel Jomtien building (Soi 7) and this is arguably the best one (at least until until his latest purchase is fully fitted out.) Being a double sized apartment it is fitted out as a living/dining/kitchen area plus a large bedroom together with spacious balcony complete with chairs and a table. Both rooms have a tv and aircon units along with ceiling fans. The living area has well equipped kitchen designed for those who want to cook on a regular basis, a fridge freezer, microwave, hob and extractor plus all the pots pans cups etc that you would need to entertain a small party. The living area includes a good size dining table. chairs, sofa and armchairs with masses of storage space via the custom made wooden cupboards. All in very good condition. The bedroom sports a kingsize bed that was very comfy with no soft spots, cupboards and a walk in wardrobe which held amongst other things a safe, again a huge amount of storage space but it did not feel intrusive. The bathroom consisted of a wash basin with mirror and WC with an open door to the shower area which had an electric shower which worked well and had good pressure despite being on the top floor. All seemed very well maintained with many fittings in wood, perhaps a towel rail in the shower area would be useful. as well as by the basin. The condo is rented on the basis of room only with extras to be charged separately, i.e internet, cleaning, water and the big one – electricity. This is the first time I have rented a condo on this basis and so I was a little nervous about the likely costs post departure. Paul will take a reading at the start of the rental and if you ask will keep you up to date with the electricity and water usage during your stay. For info each kWh costs 6thb and each aircon unit consumes up to 3kW. The building also sports a spacious 4th floor pool which on this visit never felt busy. Pattaya has many many condos for rent and it would be fair to say that Thip Condotel is not the newest building in the area but despite that its location (centre of the Jomtien bar and shopping areas and close to the beach) fit and finish, friendly owners and value for money means that I would have to think very hard before I consider a different accommodation supplier in Pattaya. This is an excellent apartment in a superb location. It is owned and managed by a very cheerful and friendly Dutchman Paul who live in a apartment in the same building. When we booked we were immediately contacted by e mail from Paul asking us if we had any special requests and I replied asking for a hair drier to be supplied, a nice sea view and a decent Internet none of which we were disappointed with.
On arrival we were shown to our apartment on the top floor. The apartment is furnished and decorated to a very high standard with more drawer and storage space than we have ever seen in our lives. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the shower and bathroom area spot on. Balcony and sea view were great !
The kitchen area was very well supplied and functional (once again with loads of drawers and cupboards.)
There is a nice swimming pool on the fourth floor and though there are several sunbeds without mattresses Paul has some in his storage cupboard that we could have had to keep in the apartment for the duration of our stay
The location of the building is good in Soi 7 ,with a Family Fare, and a Pharmacy almost across the road, several eating places within metres, and the beach only about 150 metres
away. There is also a Kiss 24 hour restaurant around the corner and Jomtien Centre about 5 minutes walk away.
I cannot praise this place enough and at a price, a real bargain.

The apartment was everything i needed on a great street. Mini market 1 minute away and a food market for vegetables and meat not far away if you plan to cook for yourself. Also good tattooist called jojos out of the building turn left and is 1 minute on left hand side. Thanks for the great stay see u soon

“Better than expected”

The photo’s where promising, but in real it was even better.
A new apartment on the 10th floor only a few 100 meters from the ocean and beach.
Beautiful seaview from our balcony.
Everything you need for a stay near Pattaya is present.
And only 100 meters away are nice places to eat or drink.
In the evening sleeping is no problem, there is no noise from the streets!! Great!!
Our next holiday is planned already……….and yes, in this same apartment.

“5 Star Condo at 3 Star Price !”

I have not long returned from a marvellous 3 months in Condo 426. The friendly owner Paul, has several and they have all just been refurbished to a very high standard , large fridge/freezer, 2 ring hotplate, chilled water dispenser,’mood’ lighting, great bathroom, 40inch flat screen T.V and more than enough storage space, oh DVD player also. Paul is always on hand should you need advice/help, but otherwise, will leave you alone to enjoy your time there. I would suggest you go for the ‘All-inclusive’ deal, then you don’t have to worry about, electric, water or cleaning bills at the end of your trip. Room gets cleaned & bed linen changed every 5 days, perfect ! and on top of all this, Soi 7 is just 2 mins walk to local food Market & entertainment complex, and 2 mins away from the Beach ! OMG I wish I was back there ! Thank you Paul, see you in November !

“Excellent”

Exceeded expectations, room excellent value for money, clean local to all amenities. Paul could not do more for you, we arrived a little earlier than arranged, Paul had been working that night but got up and took us to our room, made sure we had everything we needed, sorted out new batteries for safe and ensured we were happy with everything, very professional. We had problem at home and needed to speak to family member, internet signal was going off and on but he gave us two more networks to try and of course we got through. Room was cleaned today, fresh bedding and towels, all included in price. All I can say is excellent, would book again in fact may leave deposit ready for next year, as he has apartments in Hua Hin as well.

Well from the moment I arrived there was advise and assistance offered by my host Paul. He lives in separate Condo’s within the complex so there is always help and advice when needed. The complex also has a reception down stairs which is staffed 9 – 5pm. The building has great security and somehow achieves a real sense of privacy. My condo was fantastic. Aircon was whisper quiet and ceiling fan was nice. The balcony was small, having said this I did not see anyone out on the larger balconies. Much nicer to sit by the large double window and watch the world go by whilst you recover from the night before. You can hire a motor bike from Paul for about $3US per day. Half the going rate. Be sure to have your international drivers licence. You will get caught by Police and have to pay fine as I did. (All in the experience). It’s only 10 minute bus ride to Pattaya and cost only 10baht(30 cents). The bus is seat on the back of a Issue pickup or ute for us Aussies. Locals are really friendly. Just go down to the beach at night and they just smile and make you feel welcome. I love this location and will be back. Great for both singles couples and families. Something for everyone.

Enjoyed a 25 day vacation in this clean, tidy apartment with a friend. We opted for the all inclusive price which gave peace of mind. The accommodation is well set up; remembering that this an apartment; not a hotel; so all facilities are provided to attend to your daily needs yourself. The location is brilliant; being minutes from a excellent fruit, vegetable and meat market; along with street food vendors; abundant food stores and lively beach life and markets; all that is needed for apartment living. We went off season, so there was some maintenance jobs being action, such as the swimming pool within the condo, and we did have a few problems with our floor’s internet access, but the proprietor gave us access to an alternative, stable internet connection. Bed linen, towels and room cleaning once a week was included in the all inclusive; as was drinking water, power and internet services; so the whole set up was very convenient. Upon departure, the proprietor had just engaged the services of a colleague to provide further travel information for guests; and perhaps even transport to attractions further a field; which would be a much appreciated added service; especially for first time visitors to Jomtien/Pattaya. The location in Jomtien is unexcelled; close enough through regular transport to the busy retail and nightlife centres in Pattaya; yet enjoying the less crowded environment of Jomtien with it’s own range of markets, restaurants, shops and services, as well as great beach access with all the attending water sports available.

“Excellent value for money in a great location”

Stayed here for 1 week in march 2013. Apartment had everything you could want from a small condo in jomtien. Was spotlessly clean, comfortable and in a great location. Close to the best end of the beach as well.
The owner Paul did everything he could to ensure we were happy and comfortable. Even supplied us with a scooter so we could explore the area.
All in all we could not fault this excellent value for money apartment.
We look forward to returning here later in the year.
